Our Commitment

Innovating GENKI for Tomorrow
through the promotion of
sustainability management

Alinamin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. President Atsushi Morisawa

Alinamin Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was established in April 2021 when Takeda Consumer Healthcare Company Limited, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited's consumer healthcare division, was spun off and rebranded. Following our independence, the Group adopted a corporate message “Innovating GENKI for Tomorrow,” to clearly communicate our unique values and vision. This phrase came of discussions on what kind of company we should be and what we can offer to society, which led us to the conclusion that our role is to keep increasing the number of healthy and happy people in Japan and around the world. It encapsulates our strong desire to promote the recognition and understanding of our Group and to bring our employees and society together by communicating this corporate message both internally and externally. The Japanese word “GENKI” expresses a variety of meanings in our lives, such as being healthy, having a positive attitude, staying active, being true to oneself, and achieving overall well-being, and I believe that these qualities will become increasingly important for the world, both now and in the future.
The world is currently facing numerous challenges, including the need to deal with environmental issues on a global scale, such as serious climate change and the intensification of natural disasters associated with it, as well as geopolitical risks, including war and conflict, the widening of economic disparities and the resulting social fragmentation, human rights violations, a growing crisis in the social system itself, and the spread of new infectious diseases. These unpredictable and sudden events are transforming society and people's daily lives, posing obstacles to sustainable development.
By leveraging our strengths as a consumer healthcare company, our Group seeks to gain a clear understanding of these new social issues and changes in the social environment, incorporate ESG perspectives into our management strategies, and collectively promote innovation as a Group, with the aim of “Innovating GENKI for Tomorrow.” We have established our mission, vision and values based on this corporate message, and through dialogue and collaboration with our stakeholders, we contribute to the development of well-being in a safe, secure society by providing excellent products and trustworthy information to customers who want to enjoy life in good health. Furthermore, we strive to maintain and improve the soundness of our entire business process and—as a company that serves as a public entity—we build deep relationships of trust with our stakeholders. Moreover, we practice sound governance as we carry out our corporate activities under fair and highly transparent management.
People are the driving force behind all of our corporate activities and the products and services that arise from them. Therefore expanding our human capital to enhance competitiveness and superiority is a key topic. Additionally, our Group is committed to promoting diversity and developing a diverse workforce regardless of age, gender, work style, nationality, and more.
We believe that these initiatives enhance both the financial and non-financial value of the Group. We aim not only work to expand our business but also increase our sustainable corporate value and solve social issues through our business.
