Our Basic Stance on Respecting Human Rights

In order to accomplish our mission and deliver on our corporate message of “Innovating GENKI for Tomorrow,” the Alinamin Pharmaceutical Group believes that it has a corporate responsibility to respect the human rights of all those affected by its business activities.
In our actual business and social activities, we refer to international norms such as the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact (GC) and international long-term goals such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In concrete terms, we are promoting the following initiatives related to respect for human rights.

Complying with Applicable Laws and Regulations

The Group will comply with the laws and regulations of the countries and regions in which it conduct business, and it will respect internationally recognized human rights. In the event of a discrepancy between international standards for human rights and the laws and regulations of the countries and regions in which we operate, we will seek ways to give the highest possible respect to international standards for human rights.

Dialogue and Consultation

Should there be any adverse impact on human rights or any risk of such an impact, the Group will hold dialogues with stakeholders and engage in earnest discussions with them.

Education

The Group will provide ongoing training to employees to ensure that correct knowledge about respect for human rights is more widely disseminated throughout the Group.

Whistleblowing System

In order to ensure the early detection of any conduct that violates our corporate ethics, including human rights, and to respond appropriately to any issues that may arise, the Group has established a whistleblowing system that is available not only to employees (including temporary staff and contractors who are not directly employed by the Group) but also to suppliers and other business partners. If we discover any issues or problems concerning human rights, we will strive to take appropriate measures to correct or remedy the situation, while ensuring that the whistleblower is protected from any disadvantageous treatment or retaliation.

Information Disclosure

The Group will disclose information about its own initiatives regarding respect for human rights on its website and elsewhere on an as-needed basis.
